Case Study as a marketing tool. Part – 2
Posted in: Content & GoogleCase studies are important, very important. I discussed about it in my last post. Today I would share the different ways to market case studies so that they add as an effective marketing tool for your marketing team. But first, remember who your target audience is. This is an important and deciding factor in creating case studies. Usually, there are two kind of audiences you would address to:
1. External audience, who would be people from all walks of life. These people are targeted when you plan to distribute your case study for marketing purpose. This creates awareness amongst the people and they start noticing your ways of solving a problem. These audiences would more likely want the details of your success story. Then they start talking about you in groups and suddenly your case study becomes very popular and you are considered an expert in the industry.
2. Internal audience, who would be the people within your company. Case studies that target internal audiences are created to aid in training and development and aims to inform the employees about a particular instance. These are more technical in nature and use many industry jargons and terms. These audiences would like case studies that provide more learning experience. This will help the employees to implement similar steps in real time while working.
How to market Case Studies
I am listing the 5 best ways of marketing your case study. Depending upon your target audience, you might like to use all of them or a combination of a few.
1. Create crisp power point presentations on case studies, that covers points slide by slide.
2. Upload your case study presentation on websites like SlideShare and PresenterNet as this will make your case study available to large group of people.
3. If you have your case study in document form, you can submit it to article submission sites like Ezine articles.
4. If you have some interesting points (controversial or funny) to tell about your case study, you would love to have a video put on YouTube.
5. Podcasts can be a great and effective way of engaging people to spread your case study.
As I said, the above tips can be implemented in parts or whole. At Word Chillies, we use a combination of these depending upon the audience type and the complexity of the case study.
